Ibrahim López graduated from the Central University of Venezuela. He holds a master in architecture. He then started as museographer at the Modern Art Museum Alejandro Otero in Caracas,Venezuela.

In 1994 Ibrahim López took part in the „JOHNNY WALKER, Black Label Fashion Award“ obtaining the third prize in the category „originality and creativity“. In 1995 he moved to London working as a freelance assistant for the photographer Ricardo Alcaide at the „LONDON FASHION WEEK“ besides other projects.

Back in Venezuela he planed and created the alternative conceptual – fashion –photography event “Contemporanea“ which used the urban area of the capital, Caracas, as its setting. At that time he also took part in the art exhibition „Artistic Installations by Fashion Designers 1997“ of the Jacobo Borges Art Museum.

He presented his first own collection called „Laboratorie Chinoise“ at the Hermann’s Institut and continued showing his following collections in own fashion shows and in other shows around Caracas City.

In 2001 he moved to Berlin, Germany and within this year showed his work in public to a German audience collaborating with Stephan Griese and his fashion label “Palto MODE Design”. One year later he took part in the fashion show „Walk of Fashion – Berlin“. As Berlin became his new home he started his own label ibrahim lópez atelier in Berlin/Kreuzberg. Since today Ibrahim López showed his various collections at different venues. Ibrahim López has since developed his individual style and let his inspirations always be the foundation of new works.

Which led to the attention of the press because of his originality to express his feelings and his art in various works.
Different projects evolved, including a men’s collection with Latinamerican feeling called ‚La Costa‘, new designs for theatrical plays and live acts including concept designs for Aèrea Negrot and Skinnerbox on their latest Video „The Alphabet“. He also created unique bridal pieces and evening outfits for special occasions.
